When booking a course with SM Safety Training & Consultancy Ltd, eligible individual learners may be able to spread the cost using Klarna.
Klarna gives you flexible payment options, helping make training more manageable by allowing you to pay later or split the cost over several payments.
Please note that Klarna is available to individual customers only and is not available for company or business bookings.
To use Klarna, simply select it as your payment option at checkout. You will then be redirected to Klarna, where you can sign in or create an account and view the payment options available to you.
Klarna Payment Options
Pay in 30 Days
Book your course now and pay up to 30 days later. This option allows you more time to pay, with no interest or additional fees when payments are made in accordance with Klarna’s terms.
Pay in 3
Spread the cost of your course across three interest-free payments. Your first payment is taken when the payment plan is set up, with the remaining two payments normally collected at 30-day intervals.
A minimum spend of £35 applies.

Who is Klarna?
Klarna is a global payment provider that allows eligible customers to spread the cost of purchases using a range of payment options. Klarna manages the payment agreement directly with you, making it a convenient way to spread the cost of your training.
How long can I spread the cost of my course over?
Depending on your eligibility and the payment options available at checkout, Klarna Financing can allow you to spread the cost through fixed monthly payments for up to 36 months.
The payment plans available to you will be confirmed by Klarna when you apply.
How do I book a course using Klarna?
Choose the course you would like to book with SM Safety Training & Consultancy Ltd and proceed to checkout.
Select Klarna as your payment method and follow the instructions provided. You will be securely redirected through Klarna’s payment process, where you can provide the required information and see which payment options are available to you.
Once your Klarna payment has been approved, you can complete your course booking.
Am I eligible to use Klarna?
To use Klarna in the UK, you must generally:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a UK resident
- Have a valid card or bank account
- Be able to receive verification codes by text message
Eligibility and approval are determined by Klarna and are subject to your individual circumstances and the payment option selected.
Will Klarna carry out a credit check?
Klarna may carry out a credit check depending on the payment option you choose.
If you apply for Klarna Financing, a credit check may be carried out as part of Klarna’s assessment of your application. Klarna will provide the relevant information before you enter into any credit agreement.
Can I use Klarna for a company booking?
Our Klarna payment option is intended for individual customers booking and paying for their own training.
If your employer or organisation is paying for your course, please contact SM Safety Training & Consultancy Ltd to discuss our business payment and invoicing options.
What happens if Klarna doesn't approve my application?
Klarna makes its own lending and payment decisions, and SM Safety Training has no influence over whether an application is accepted or declined.
If Klarna does not approve your chosen payment option, you may be offered an alternative Klarna payment method or you can choose another available way to pay for your course.
Are all Klarna payment options available to everyone?
No. The Klarna options shown at checkout can vary depending on factors including the value of your booking and Klarna’s assessment of your application.
This means that not every customer will necessarily be offered the same payment plan.
Who do I contact if I have a problem with my Klarna payments?
Your Klarna payment agreement is managed directly by Klarna. If you have a question about payments, payment dates, your account or your finance agreement, you should contact Klarna Customer Service.
