The NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate will involve a total of 34 taught hours, 25 hours private study and 8 hours on assessments.
When studied through classroom, virtual classroom learning or in-house, the course is 5 days.
When studied through e-Learning, we recommend spending between 60 and 70 hours on the course. Students have access to the e-Learning course for 12 months from date of purchase.
Our classroom and teams course timings are 09:00-17:00 Monday – Friday.
The NEBOSH Environmental Certificate is comprised of two units of study: EMC1 and EMC2.
Unit EMC2 – Assessing Environmental Aspects & Associates Impacts (Practical Application)
The NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate is assessed in two parts, combining both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Unit EMC1 is assessed through an online open-book examination, which learners have 24 hours to complete and submit. This assessment is designed to test the knowledge and understanding gained throughout the course.
Unit EMC2 is a practical workplace assessment, allowing learners to apply what they have learned in a real working environment. This must be completed and submitted within 14 days of the EMC1 exam booking date.
Learners will receive a unit certificate for each successfully completed unit. Once both units have been passed, NEBOSH will issue the full NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate parchment.
For learners booking the classroom course, the exam fee is included in the course price. For those choosing the e-learning course, exams are charged separately and must be booked in addition to the course.

Please note that course materials and certificates are sent by post. For bookings made outside the UK, an additional delivery charge will apply. We will contact you after booking to confirm the postage cost.
