The NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work is a one-day course when delivered in-house, and can also be completed remotely via Microsoft Teams. This flexible option allows your team to access high-quality training from the comfort of their own location, without compromising on interaction or engagement.

The NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work is made up of a single unit, divided into three key elements:

Unit RAW1: Managing Risks in the Workplace

• Element 1: The importance of managing health and safety risks
• Element 2: How to identify, understand, and control workplace risks
• Element 3: Using reliable sources of information and applying HSE’s risk assessment tools effectively

This structure provides a clear and practical approach to understanding risk and implementing safe systems of work.

Assessment is carried out through a practical exercise once the course is complete. Delegates will watch a short video tour of a workplace and use the information provided to complete a risk assessment.

This task involves identifying potential hazards, evaluating the level of risk, and recommending suitable control measures to reduce or eliminate those risks

Once submitted, the assessment is marked and returned within 24 working days. Delegates who successfully meet the required standard will receive an official NEBOSH certificate, confirming their achievement and demonstrating their competence in workplace risk assessment.
