If you live in Wales and have recently been made redundant or are currently under formal notice of redundancy, you may be eligible for financial support through the Welsh Government ReAct+ programme.
ReAct+ is designed to help eligible people develop new skills, gain recognised qualifications and improve their chances of returning to employment.
If you are considering a new career in health and safety, or want to strengthen your existing experience with recognised qualifications, ReAct+ could help towards the cost of training with SM Safety Training & Consultancy Ltd.

How much ReAct+ funding could I receive?
Eligible applicants may receive up to £1,500 towards vocational training and qualifications.
Depending on your individual circumstances, additional support may also be available, including:
- Up to £1,500 towards training costs
- Up to £2,100 towards childcare or other caring costs while undertaking training
- Up to £200 towards additional training-related costs, including travel and accommodation
The amount of support available will depend on your individual circumstances and must be agreed as part of your ReAct+ application.
Who is eligible for ReAct+?
To be eligible for ReAct+ support, you must currently be aged 20 or over, live in Wales and have the right to live and work in the UK.
You must also meet at least one of the qualifying criteria, which currently include:
- Being under formal notice of redundancy
- Having been made redundant within the previous six months
- Being an ex-offender
- Serving a community sentence
Eligibility and funding decisions are made through Working Wales and the Welsh Government.
