Manage Stress at Work: HSE & NEBOSH One-Day Qualification

SM Safety Training is proud to offer the new HSE and NEBOSH One-Day Stress Management Qualification, designed to help you and your organisation tackle one of the biggest causes of work-related ill health: stress.

Workplace stress is a leading cause of sickness absence, impacting employees’ mental and physical health, and costing businesses significantly through lost productivity, replacement staffing, and workplace accidents. Employers not only have a moral and financial duty to reduce work-related stress but also a legal obligation to assess and manage stress risks.

However, many organisations are unsure where to begin. That’s why the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and NEBOSH have jointly developed this practical qualification—to help employers identify, manage, and reduce workplace stress effectively.

Why Take the HSE & NEBOSH Stress Management Course?

This qualification equips delegates with the skills and confidence to:

  • Understand the HSE’s Management Standards approach to managing stress.
  • Recognise the early signs of stress and offer effective support.
  • Create a healthier, more productive workplace.
  • Address the root causes of stress to prevent issues before they escalate.

By adopting the principles taught in this course, your business can significantly improve employee wellbeing, increase productivity, and strengthen your organisational resilience.

“Organisations that take early action to tackle work-related stress have seen measurable improvements in productivity, staff retention, and employee wellbeing.”
